Not every client needs
every test. One way to be fiscally responsible regarding analytical work is by matching
the right test to the individual's drug of choice. That’s another benefit
from our small company experience. Large labs simply won’t
tailor their processes to your needs.
We offer several testing profiles. What you use for a given client and situation
will vary based on the application, as shown below.
| Test |
Application |
Clinical Drug Screen |
This test supports drug and alcohol treatment programs.
The results help counselors treating patients in recovery;
however the results are not intended to be used in court.
Positive results are verified by repeat analysis, but not
confirmed by an alternative testing method, such as GC/MS.
All specimens are kept for three weeks. |
Chain of Custody Clinical Screen |
This test supports probation, parole and drug courts
who have clients being monitored for substance abuse, or who
are enrolled in a Substance Abuse Program. Specimens are submitted
in a container secured with tamper evident tape and a chain
of custody form with corresponding specimen numbering. Positive
results are confirmed by GC/MS upon request. |
Forensic Drug Test |
This test is used when person’s employment status or legal status may be changed
as a result of the drug test (non DOT or Federally
mandated). This protocol is the most defensible
in court. In following New York forensic guidelines, (similar
to SAMSHA), we provide chain of custody forms with sequential
specimen numbers on the form and a specimen label, tamper
evident tape and dual pocket sealed bags to transport. The
testing is done in a secure area and all specimens and procedures
are documented at the lab. We use GC/MS or other appropriate
confirmation procedures on all positive drug screens and samples
are frozen for one year. |
Methadone Program Screening |
The screening is for the unique needs associated with Methadone
Treatment Programs. Specimens that test negative for methadone
will be scrutinized and reported as negative only if methadone
is not detected at all. If we see between 150 to 299 ng/ml,
we will report TRACE methadone. To limit your costs and give
you a quicker turn around time, we do not verify positive
opiate and cocaine screens, except in our QC program, where
we do verify positive samples, (about 30% of positives). |
